Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd kept building on her win at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She knocked out all her opponents in the first round. Then she fought at WCFC once more and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was already beaten by Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia is superior to Aspen in the fight, beating Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd recovered from the loss, and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to get her first professional fight. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16 saw her go from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she managed to finish her fight in the third round through TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen had to face Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with her catchweight (138.1lb), because Ladd was not able to make Weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy up to the point where she defeated her via a TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final event for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 in the fight against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina using ground and pound to defeat her by TKO during the second round. She continued to dominate and got a huge win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd won over Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for her performance on the night. She fought her first big fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters earning an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya in UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. The fight was with Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The UFC Fight Night 195 fight was decided unanimously in her favor.
