Sharon Yvonne Stone, born March 10, 1958 at Meadville (Pennsylvania), is her mother's Dorothy Lawson, a former worker at a factory, and Joseph William Stone, a tool maker and die maker. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone began the second grade at five years old. Stone was said as being academically gifted. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. Stone graduated in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her win Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt to take on a job as models. In just a few months, Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year in Milan and Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene and modeling in Europe and decided to go into acting while in the country. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed reviews.
