
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on the 19th of January, 2008. She was an American film, television and voice actress. [1] Pleshette began her professional career in the theater and started appearing in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in prominent films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she was a part of various television productions, often as a guest actor, and she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January of 1937. Her parents were Jewish and were immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
