Her breakthrough role came after an appearance in a couple of TV shows when she was chosen to play the role of a romantic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" in 1993. Beckinsale has appeared in numerous famous films since then, including "Emma" 1996, "Pearl Harbor 2001" and "Underworld 2003" which resulted in five more movies in the franchise. Beckinsale appeared alongside Jessica Biel, Colin Farrel in "Total Recall" in 2012. She has also won some notable awards for her work like 'Best Actress in the Sitges Catalan International Film Festival and the Evening Standard British Film Awards and the National Film Awards U.K.
